Traffic Load Balancing

Load balancing improves workload allocation across multiple computing resources: computers, clusters, network connections, CPUs, or disk drives. Traffic balancing allows you to optimize resource utilization, maximize bandwidth, minimize response time, and avoid overloading of individual resources. The use of multiple balancing components instead of a single component can increase reliability and availability with the resulting power reserve. Load balancing usually involves the use of special software or hardware.
